Print-led designerAlso identity & UI/UX
Graphic design for print, brands and screens.
Good design begins with an idea. Type, colour and paper give it a voice. A clear grid, a confident mark and a finish you want to keep.
Most of my work ends up on paper: posters, books, magazines and packaging. I also design identities, apps and websites with the same care for type and hierarchy.
I take work from the first sketch to the final files, and I am at my best on a small, focused team.
What I do
Four connected disciplines, mostly in print. Each project finds its own balance of type, colour, paper and layout.
Magazines, books, reports and specimens: grids, type and paper chosen to be held, not scrolled.
Marks, type and colour systems that work on a coffee cup as well as a storefront.
Posters, cartons and labels that have to work from across the street and up close on a shelf.
Apps and websites designed with the same care for type and hierarchy as a printed page.
Project worlds
Ten projects across print, identity and digital, each with its own small world of type and colour.
Studio notes
Two colours and one typeface. Each night got its own shape, and the series still reads as one festival.
Every cover is cut by hand, but the grid underneath never changes. That is what makes the shelf look like a set.
The mark had to work pressed into clay before it could work in ink.
Eight usability tests, one rule: three taps from search to a booked pick-up.
10
Projects across print, packaging, identity and digital.
08
Made for paper, from risograph to five-colour offset.
06
Years designing for print, brands and screens.
Type
Every project built on a clear typographic system.
Studies
Four printed projects up close: process, paper and finish.
Experience, in short.
Six years in graphic design, most of it in print: magazines, books, posters and packaging, with identity and UI/UX work alongside.
